Brampton residents can easily access their replacement Blue and Grey
boxes seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the following locations:
Terry Miller Recreation Centre, 1295 Williams Parkway
Chris Gibson Recreation Centre, 125 McLaughlin Rd.

pickup.

You would call the Region of Peel at (9O5) 791-9499.
When do I place my garbage at the curb?
Place garbage, recyclables and yard waste at the curb no later that
7 a.m. on your scheduled collection day, but no earlier than 7 p.m.
the night before.
Where can I obtain a passport?
Passports can be obtained at Central Parkway Mall, 377 Burnharnthoye
Rd. E., Suite 116, Second Floor, Mississauga, Ontario from 8 a.m. to
5 p.m., (416) 973-3251. Application forms can be picked up at Canada
Post offices and most travel agencies.
Where can I get a Social Insurance Number?
Call Human Resources Development Canada at (9O5) 790-2525. They are
located at 18 Corporation Dr.
Where can I obtain a marriage licence?
Marriage licences are issued at most municipal offices in the Province.
In Brampton, licences are issued at the City Clerk's Office, lst Floor
at City Hall, 2 Wellington St. W. For further information contact (905)

Who do l call regarding income tax, child tax
credits, GST, etc?
For income tax inquiries call 1-800-95)-8251, for child tax credits
call 1-800-387-1193, for GST call 1-800-959-5525. These offices are
all located at 5800 Hurontario St., Mississauga.
Who do I call if I notice a street light
is burned out?
Call the Works Department at (905) 874-2500 for on street lighting
or' 1-800-323-3339 for parks.
Who do l call if I need to park my car on
the street overnight?
Call Parking Enforcement at (9O5) 874-2404 to obtain permission to
park on the street between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m., or for more than three
hours. If calling after 4:30 p.m., 905-458-3424.
Where do I get a Building Permit from?
Building Permit applications can be picked up from the 4th floor
in City Hall from the Buildings counter. The number to call is (9O5)
874-2401.
How do l book a tour of City Hall?
For groups of ten or more, City Hall Tours can be booked by calling
(9O5) 874-2059. The tour takes approximately 1 hour.
Who do l call to set up a Neighbourhood Watch
program
Neighbourhood Watch is one of many programs offered through the Safe

Do l have to get my dog licenced?
Yes, all dogs in Brampton must be licensed annually at a cost of
$20 or a lifetime licence for microchipped dogs at a cost of $39. Cats
are also required to be registered at a lifetime cost of $10. The Animal
Shelter is located at 1945 Williams Pkwy. For more information call

Where do I pay a parking and/or traffic ticket?
Payment of parking and/or traffic tickets can be made at 5 Ray Lawson
Blvd. OR at City Hall, 2 Wellington St. W.; 1st Floor. However; if you
wish to discuss a ticket; call 905-450-4770, or go to the Provincial
Offences Office at S Ray Lawson Blvd.
Does the City recognize special wedding
anniversaries or birthdays?
The City does recognize Brampton residents celebrating
50th and 60th wedding anniversaries, special birthdays and other significant
events with a certificate from the Mayor's Office. Requests for certificates
should be forwarded to the Mayor's Office at least two weeks prior to
